Room Additions & Expansions

A&W Construction recently did a 14’ x 16’ room addition for us. The experience was very pleasant and positive. Don our contractor was very responsive to our needs and his crew was on time and ready to satisfy our every need. I had A&W Construction do some remodeling on my house. Don was very knowledgeable in doing repairs, whether it be painting, refurbishing existing items, or building new items. Don, Yesterday your men came out to repair the ceiling in our front hallway. They did a good job of protecting the adjacent areas from their work, and when they and completed cleaning up, you could not tell they had been there except for one very important thing: the work they left behind! I could not believe that there were people in the world that could do such a wonderfully beautiful job. Without exaggeration, their work was many times better than the original work on our house, which we bought new! You could not tell that the ceiling had been replaced; it was beautiful. Looking at the hall by itself, you would think you were walking into a brand new home! The thing I have gained from this experience is that there actually exist, people, who are knowledgeable, skilled and who care about doing more than a good job.

Don managed both a significant remodeling of our home, and several months later, a major add-on (>750 square feet) to our home. This included adding a second floor above the garage with two new bedrooms and a bath. He helped us plan the project, and walked us through a number of the critical decisions. As with any major construction project, there were unexpected issues to deal with, and decisions to be made. Don was always responsive and helpful in dealing with these issues and addressed our concerns quickly and to our full satisfaction. His pricing was very competitive, and we are quite pleased with the results, and now plan to stay in our home for many years to come.

A large project such as an addition comes with many details and unforeseen issues. Don was in constant communication with us and the contractors. Any time there was a question about the quality of work, they were there to quickly resolve the issue and put our minds at ease. There were add-ons that we requested and the prices were fair and the additional projects were worked into the schedule without any delays. Don helped us in the planning stages and made even more suggestions that we had not considered to improve the overall project. We highly recommend Don’s and his team because of the integrity of the men behind the company. Don didn’t approach this as another project for their company, he recognized that this was an addition to our home and they did everything he could to minimize the upheaval which allowed us to continue with our normal activities. He kept the construction site as if it was his own home.
